Internet with Microsoft & Apple

 The internet as we all know it has came a long way to where it is now.

  ENIAC

  1885 Charles Babbage created the first "computer",
• In WW2 the British created the Colossus to break German codes down into binary.
  
• Shortly after came the ENIAC, the first full-service computer.
• The creation of the semiconductor caused the production of PCs
• Then came Bill Gates and the duo of Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak

Bill Gates

Bill Gates was enrolled in Harvard University when he realized the future of computing was in PCs. He then dropped out and started his own company with his friend Paul Allen. Together they licensed their own operating system that everyday people can use.

Bill Gates was contracted by IBM after the failure they had in the computer world. IBM used Gates's operating system in it's first IBM PC. With Gates and his Microsoft company keeping the rights to the OS/software of the system allowed them to still be able to sell and market it which allowed the massive once in a lifetime success of Bill Gates and Microsoft.

Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak

In 1977, around the same time Steve Jobs and Stephen Wozniak dropped out of their colleges as well and began working on their PCs. They created the Apple II PC which was designed for personal use. This PC excelled in multimedia capabilities with its sound and image applications.

The story of Steve Jobs and Apple was a bumpy road. In 1980 the company's value was at 1.2 billion. He then gave his CEO position to John Sculley from Pepsi-Cola. Apple then took a major hit meanwhile, Steve Jobs bought Pixar and sold his NeXT Computer Co. to Apple for $429 million and then later that year became the CEO for Apple once again. Jobs and Apple then went on to create the technology of the future we all know and love.
