Television Now
Television doesn't have as big of an impact as it did once before. TV was once the only thing people would look forward to to catch their weekly shows. Television first started off as the Nipkow Disc in 1884. This was rotating scanning disc that produced 4,000 pixels per second. Even though it was a big advance in the technology it was proved to be very limited. Nipkow Disc Shortly after in 1923 Vladimir Zworykin created the iconoscope tube which essentially was a television tube. Then in 1929 Zworykin then created the kinescope which is just an improved television tube. As the years went on more upgrades were made to the physical TV to constantly improve it. In the 1950s Lucille Ball took her and her hit show I love Lucy to Hollywood, California. Lucy's choice of going to Hollywood essentially moved the entire television industry from New York to California.
